Presented here is a an ongoing series of essays relating to the emergence of the Christian Cabala.

Don Karr's Solomonic Magic
Liber Salomonis: Cephar Raziel, Liber Lunae, and other selections from British Library Sloane MS 3826. Transcribed, annotated and introduced by Don Karr. According to legend, Adam received secret wisdom from the angel Raziel, and a number of texts (of widely differing origins) claim to be the mysterious book of the angel Raziel. This is one such text.

Don Karr's Selected Writings of FM van Helmont
The Cabbalistical Dialogues, Chapter IV of the Paradoxal Discourses, and an appendix from The Divine Being and its Attributes. Transcribed, annotated and introduced by Don Karr.

Hekhalot Rabbatai - The Greater Treatise Concerning the Palaces of Heaven
Translated from the Hebrew and Aramaic by Morton Smith, corrected by Gershom Scholem. Transcribed and edited with notes by Don Karr. Reproduced with permission.
Don Karr's Kabbalah of Maat
The 20th century saw the development and elaboration of a line of Kabbalistic speculation which derives its impulse from information channeled by Aleister Crowley and published as The Book of the Law. Don Karr provides a substantial overview and bibliography of these ideas in Approaching the Kabbalah of Maat: Altered Trees and the Procession of the Aeons. He also contributes four original works on the subject. New: Don has transcribed works by OAI: Liber SamekhHe, and O.A.I. Manifesto.

Kabbalah FAQ
Created for the Usenet and posted for some years, it grew very large and now lives here. It has an extensive reading list combining Hermetic and traditional Jewish Kabbalah.

Notes on Kabbalah by Colin Low
Originally posted as a series on the Usenet, these notes provide a substantial book-length introduction to the author's tradition of Hermetic Kabbalah.

Ritual Theory and Technique by Colin Low
A modern view of ritual which attempts to provide a basis for understanding how ritual works. Much of this material was subsumed into Notes on Kabbalah, but if you prefer the original, shorter, Kabbalah-free version, read this.
Memory Theatre
Images on the Tree of Life, organised after the manner of a memory theatre.

A Miscellany of Essays by Colin Low
Some people count on their fingers. Others move their lips when they read. I write.

The Kircher Tree
In many places in Bill Heidrick's notes he refers to the "Kircher Tree". This is the Kircher Tree of Life, from Oedipus Aegyptiacus published in 1652 by Athanasius Kircher, a Jesuit priest.

Kabbalistic Magic: On How to Use the Mystical Interpretations of the Jewish Holy Books in Adventure Role-Playing Games by Simcha Kuritzky
This is an odd one. Written for a Role Playing Game audience, it also happens to be one of the best short introductions to traditional Kabbalistic magic I have seen. Exceptionally well-informed.

The 50 Gates of Understanding by Jeff Spiegel
Written in response to Bill Heidrick's article above, it presents a traditional Jewish view of the 50 Gates.

TechGnosis by Erik Davis (posted to Usenet)
An essay which deconstructs the Hermetic and Gnostic worlds of the magician to unravel a golden thread which permeates cyberspace and cyberculture. Brilliant. You can find more of Davis's wonderful essays at Erik Davis' Figments. See also the 1998 book also titled Techgnosis.

The Kircher Tree
